Helpful Tips for Visiting Belly of the Dragon

Belly of the Dragon is one of the most unique attractions in southern Utah.

Here are some helpful tips for visiting Belly of the Dragon!

The Belly of the Dragon hiking trail is an easy 1.8-mile round trip out and back trek near Kanab, Utah.

The hiking itself is relatively easy. The hardest part is the 4-5 foot drop down into the drainage ditch at the entrance of the tunnel.

The passageway is fairly straight, but the path that the water has created twists and turns and has varying levels of height.

There is free camping conveniently located just outside of the Belly of the Dragon trailhead that we enjoyed during summer.

Dogs are allowed at Belly of the Dragon. You don’t have to leash your dogs for this hike, but that is up to you!
