Then, hike 1 km (0.6 miles) down the gravel road to the castle ruins, making friends along the way!

Clifden Castle is private property and free to explore at your own risk.

Use caution when exploring, as the ruins can be treacherous and unpredictable. 

Wear waterproof hiking shoes with good grip & a waterproof jacket.

Be respectful of the castle and grounds, and leave no trace behind.
